To use Poke Catch open the app and go through the setup process which will get Poke Catch ready to start watching for Pokemon. After you have gone through the setup you open Pokemon Go and every now and then flick over to Poke Catch and refresh to see if there are any Pokemon nearby which you didnt see in the game. When Poke Catch finds hidden Pokemon you can select them and see exactly where they are on the map so you can go back to Pokemon Go and catch them!
Using this companion app for Pokemon Go you get two massive features, first is a real time update of all the Pokemon within a roughly 50 meter radius of your current location, and second is a history of all Pokemon locations within your city or area plotted out over the last 72 hours.
Poke Catch is way different to the other Pokemon maps which rely on users to manually enter the location of Pokemon onto the map. Poke Catch sits in between you and the Pokemon Go server and watches the communication to see location of nearby Pokemon automatically which means we have a much more exact list of Pokemon locations and you dont need to update anything manually.
During testing we were catching way more using Pokemon Catch as a companion then we were without it and we wanted to share it with everyone.
To use the app you need to configure a Proxy server on your phone which for most cellular providers you cant do it on the cellular connection unless you have your phone rooted. You can always set a Proxy on the WiFi connection and use the companion when in range of WiFi or we have had more fun tethering to a fellow trainers phone and travelling around to see what extra we can catch.
